Method principle
Use a gas chromatograph with a thermal conductivity detector, using hydrogen as the carrier gas, to separate all constant components of the sample gas through a combination of chromatography columns and ten way valves, and record the peak areas of each component on the workstation. Under the same operating conditions, analyze the standard gas with known component content, compare the peak area of the measured sample gas with the peak area of the standard gas, calculate the percentage content of each component by correcting the correction factor, and calculate the hydrogen content by the difference method (or use argon gas as a carrier gas to measure the hydrogen content separately).
Instruments and materials
⑴ Gas chromatograph: Shandong Jinpu GC-2010 is equipped with a thermal conductivity detector and a ten way valve
⑵ N2000 Chromatography Workstation: This workstation was developed by Zhejiang University and is the most widely used chromatography workstation in China
⑶ Chromatographic column: 5A analytical sieve (2m × Ø 3mm)+GDX-502 (2m × Ø 3mm)
⑷ Carrier gas: Hydrogen gas, with a purity of not less than 99.9%, must be dried before being input into the chromatographic column.
⑸ Standard gas: A mixed standard gas with similar content to the analyzed component can be used, or a pure standard gas can be prepared into a standard gas of a certain concentration. The uncertainty of standard gas is 1%.
